The BA’RA Hotel is one of the most remarkable cases in contemporary Brazilian hospitality. Located on Avenida Cabo Branco in João Pessoa, Paraíba, the hotel was born with a rare ambition: to become a living part of the city, not merely a place to pass through. Its biophilic architecture, with a facade of tropical elements and a publicly accessible boulevard, erases the boundary between guest and community. The Tropical Garden blends into the Largo do Busto de Tamandaré with no walls or barriers.
Paulo Bezerra was commissioned for the hotel’s full launch, documenting every space that defines the BA’RA experience: the Prestige suites with Atlantic views and a hydromassage tub, the Garden, Premium, Comfort, Tropical and Classic suites; the IOCÁ restaurant with its contemporary trattoria concept; the ORAMA Rooftop with the most generous view in the city; the lobby, the fitness space, the Kids Club and the Gilvan hall.
BA’RA was voted the 5th best new hotel in the world by the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards 2023 and recognized at the GRI Awards as the Best Hotel Project in Brazil. The images are an integral part of the visual identity that brought BA’RA to international recognition.
