Hospitality Photography
Juazeiro do Norte, Brazil ·2026
Photographing the Ibis Juazeiro do Norte was an exercise in translation: turning into images the promise a hospitality brand makes to travelers arriving tired from the road, a flight, or a long day of work. Ibis belongs to a category where the essentials must be flawless — the room, the bed, the bath, the breakfast — and my role was to show exactly that, with clarity, honesty, and a light that invites you to stay.
I approached each space seeking its cleanest reading: rooms that breathe order and rest, welcoming common areas, and the contemporary, functional architecture that defines the brand. I cared for the geometry of the lines, the alignment of the elements, and the balance between the natural light coming through the windows and the interior lighting, so that every frame would feel real and inviting at once.
Economy hospitality does not mean simple photography. On the contrary: when a space is essential, every detail carries more weight. The texture of the linens, the controlled reflections on surfaces, the consistent color temperature across rooms — all of it builds the sense of comfort a guest looks for even before booking. I photographed with the person choosing a room on a screen in mind.
Juazeiro do Norte, in the heart of Ceará’s Cariri region, gives the project a special context: a city of faith, commerce, and a constant flow of visitors. The hotel is a base for those arriving on pilgrimage, for business, or for leisure, and I wanted the images to convey that vocation of an urban safe harbor — welcoming, reliable, and ready to receive.
The result is a body of work designed for the many uses of hospitality: website, booking channels, social media, and marketing material. A coherent, professional portrait of the Ibis Juazeiro do Norte, made so that the experience promised in the image is the very one found on arrival.
