When I arrived at the Pestana CR7 Gran Vía Madrid, I wanted to capture the energy of a lifestyle hotel planted right on one of Europe’s most iconic avenues. I photographed the building as it dialogues with the early’20th‑century architecture of Gran Vía, framing its contemporary interiors against the constant pulse of the street below. My goal was to translate that meeting of heritage and modern design into images that feel both cosmopolitan and intimate.
I devoted myself to the textures that define the property: the bold colours and playful materials of the public spaces, the warmth of the guest rooms, and the curated details that signal a hotel built for a new generation of travellers. I sought the natural light pouring through the windows by day and the warmer, golden tones that take over at dusk, when the rooftop terrace opens onto a sweeping view of the Madrid skyline.
From the lobby to the rooftop, I worked to build a visual narrative that lets each guest imagine their own stay — a morning coffee overlooking Gran Vía, an afternoon by the terrace, an evening watching the city light up. This series is my account of the Pestana CR7 Gran Vía Madrid as a place where the spirit of the Spanish capital and the confidence of contemporary hospitality come together.
