Pestana Rio Atlântica One

Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil ·2026

Photographing the Pestana Rio Atlântica was an encounter with the soul of Copacabana. In this very first batch of images, I wanted to translate the intimate relationship between the hotel and the most famous beach in the world: I went up to capture the perfect curve of the shoreline seen from above, the emerald sea breaking on the sand and the wave-patterned promenade that gives the city its rhythm. I sought to show how Rio de Janeiro pours through every window of this façade that faces the Atlantic head-on.

I devoted myself to exploring the hotel from the inside out: I captured the ocean-view suites, the bright, contemporary spaces, the terraces at sunset and the energy of the rooftop pool as night falls. I gave special attention to the gastronomy — from signature drinks to seafood dishes, from octopus to grilled salmon — and to the people who bring the space to life, always chasing the warm light and the relaxed, elegant carioca spirit.

This is only the first chapter of an ongoing project: I returned to the hotel to capture even more material, and we will soon expand this portfolio. To me, the Pestana Rio Atlântica is far more than an address in Copacabana — it is a meeting point between luxury, the sea and the joy of Rio, and that is precisely the story I set out to tell through my lens.
