Photographing the Pestana Sintra Golf meant working just minutes from the magical town of Sintra, in a resort that blends golf, spa and the soft light of the hills. I devoted myself to capturing the earth-toned façade of the building reflected in the outdoor pools at dusk, when the palm trees and warm lights mirror in the turquoise water — a framing that, to me, expresses all the relaxed elegance of this four-star destination at the gates of Lisbon.
I sought to reveal the breadth and versatility of this resort. I photographed the conference rooms, the lounges and the bedrooms, but also the golf course stretching green to the horizon and the dramatic indoor spa pool, with its blue columns and the serene reflection of the water. I always looked for the natural light entering through the large windows and bringing each space to life, attentive to the balance between leisure, wellness and nature.
I completed the series with the gastronomy and the small rituals that crown the stay: the cocktails prepared by the poolside, the carefully plated dishes and the family moments in the gardens. It was a project in which I aimed to honour the luminous, welcoming atmosphere of the Pestana Sintra Golf — and I hope these photographs invite those who see them to enjoy a few days among golf, spa and the unique charm of Sintra.
