When I returned to the Pestana CR7 Gran Vía Madrid to photograph its gastronomy, I wanted to translate into images the energy of this rooftop suspended above one of Madrid’s most iconic avenues. I photographed everything from the breakfasts served on the terrace at sunrise to the cocktails crafted at dusk, always with the Gran Vía as a backdrop. I sought to capture the way the hotel’s kitchen blends the easy spirit of a sports bar with the care of a signature concept.
I devoted myself to the details that give the table its identity: the crust of an authentic Neapolitan pizza, the gleam of melted cheese over the gourmet burger served with its copper cup of fries, the freshness of the salads, and the theatre of cocktails built at the bar. I looked for the natural light pouring across the terrace by day and the warmer, golden tones that take over at night, when the city lights up below and the Ballon d’Or‑inspired presentations take centre stage.
From the bar counter to the table set with a panoramic view, I worked to build a visual narrative that lets the guest taste the experience before the first bite. This series is my account of the gastronomy at the Pestana CR7 Gran Vía Madrid — a place where the soul of Madrid, the joy of a shared table, and the confidence of a contemporary brand come together nine floors up.
